My Philosophy

“You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.” —Ansel Adams

I have an old photograph from my Grandmother, her neatly written description is faded on the back, she was in Atlantic City in 1946 with my Grandfather. My grandmother in a suit dress and my grandfather in his suit he has a pipe and they were together on a bench. The photographer a passerby or maybe a friend. They look so happy, and their journey just beginning. It is one of my favorite photographs, I am inspired by the emotion of it and how it was the beginning of a life they started together that has led to me and my little family. That is a powerful thing and my Philosophy about photography stems from that one simple photograph.

A Photograph is Timeless

Your Wedding Day is going to be magical. It will be a day like you have never imagined, all the planning and hard work you set out to do after being engaged will all come together. You have dreamed of it for months, maybe even years. You’ll say “I Do”, eat fabulous food, dance like crazy, spend time with family and friends and finish it off with cake! It will be perfect.

My approach to photographing your wedding is with all of those things in mind. All you will have left after the last bite of cake has been eaten is your photographs. I approach your day with my own wedding in mind. We’ve been married for quite a few years now and I don’t remember most of the planning or the details. The photographs are all I have to remember and they have become the most valuable thing I have from that day. To me they are priceless. This is the same way I want you to feel about your images years from now.

Your Experience is Everything

When I am in Disney World I am blown away by how perfect everything is. Sure its crowded and hot, but what stands out the most is how amazing the experience is. Only Disney can make waiting in line for an hour enjoyable and it blows me away every time. I am inspired by the excellent experience they provide to their guests and it sticks with me when I work with my clients. Trust me, I have a LONG way to go before I am at the Disney status of Wedding Photographers, but I like to strive to provide that type of service to my clients. I am incredibly responsive and usually fret if I let an email go too long (I have lost sleep over emails I forgot to respond to). I am timely with delivering proofs and working on albums as I want you to have everything in hand so you can enjoy as soon as possible. This takes quite a lot of dedication but I am up for it. I drink lots and lots of coffee.

Only the Best for my Clients

I am a brat about the quality of my photographs and the products I give you. I want you to have great things to put on your walls, beautiful books that look amazing when you flip through the pages in 25 years. I am a stickler for quality and color and put in the work after your wedding to get it all right.  Right now I use a quality professional print lab that I love. Their albums and prints are gorgeous.  After all, those timeless photographs need to look fabulous forever. I want you to know when you choose me to work with you, that I am dedicated to giving you my full attention to detail in my work. From the images I create in my camera to how they will look in your artwork, I want nothing less than to exceed your expectations.
